The Mercedes Coffin

The Mercedes Coffin by Faye Kellerman  I received this ARC through Library Thing's Early Reviewers. The basic premise of the book is that a cop, Decker, must open a cold case funded by a rich woman to figure the murder of a high school counselor. There was a recent murder that mimicked the fifteen year old cold case that was reopened. So Decker was involved in solving two murders and different witnesses/suspects for each.

The book seemed like it took me forever to read. Good story. Absolutely hated the end. I like books where at the end, you know who the killer is and why they commited the crime. ************SPOILER************* At the end of this book, assumptions were made who the killer because the only person who might have known or who was the killer was, Rudy, wound up dead. No explanation found about the blood found in Rudy's apartment, why Ryan disappeared, etc.

I give this book two stars due to the disappointing ending of the book.
